One of the things Sasha really enjoys is music. She loves dancing to just about any tune she hears whether on TV or radio. Just recently we've noticed her efforts to sing along to her favorite songs which include Old McDonald, Ten Little Monkies and Apples and Bananas. Tonight she was entertaining us with her music ability as she played on the piano. Hope you enjoy her spirit as much as we did listening and "spying" from the other room!

We were assigned to the Krasnodar Region in Russia. Krasnodar was originally named Ekaterinodar after Catherine the great which meant "Catherine's Gift". After the Russian revolution in 1917 the name was changed to Krasnodar which means "beautiful gift". I found this to be a sweet reminder and quite encouraging. Sasha is a beautiful gift that God created in His own image. A child He created knowing that we would be her parents.

Our Prayer Requests
1. For Papa and Sasha as we continue to transition into life without momma.
2. Papa and Sasha will be traveling to see Grandpa & Grandma Carr this December
3. Having trouble getting Russia to accept our first post adoption placement report. They have gone to an extreme with follow up add on reports after they found out Jenny passed away. It is very frustrating and painful to have to keep hashing out the month of September...
Praises:
1. Sasha is grieving well
2. Her second MRI results and followup Dr. visit were great. no more follow up MRIs for a few years.

- 03.21.10 - return home from Russia
- 03.19.10 - sign papers to formally accept the referral of Sasha and begin the process of adopting her.
- 03.17.10 - see Sasha for the first time.
- 03.16.10 - meet with DOE.
- 03.13.10 - leave on our 1st trip to Russia
- 03.07.10 - home study update complete
- 02.22.10 - accepted Alexandra's referral
- 02.17.10 - received Alexandra's referral
- 01.06.10 - Chirstmas is celebrated in Russia today.
- 08.04.09 - dossier registered in Krasnodar
- 05.22.09 - completed our dossier and sent it to CWA
- 05.13.09 - received our I-171H form.
- 03.23.09 - home study completed and filed form I-600A with the USCIS
- 12.11.08 - selected our adoption agency - Christian World Adooptions
- 11.27.08 - the day we made a decision to pursue adoption
